It was so good to find some beautiful hay meadows on a private site in North Cornwall that had an amazing display of hundreds, possibly thousands of what I think are Greater Butterfly Orchids.
I've ploughed through my books and Google to check whether they are the Greater or Lesser species and at the moment I'm erring on the Greater.
Not only were they in full flower but there were lots of Southern Marsh Orchids, Yellow Rattle & Knapweed.
The place was alive with insects, especially butterflies so it does show that if you have a good habitat then the wildlife will follow.
