A second trip to a friends garden had 5 badgers running around the lawn allowing a few shots with remotely fired flash although I only ever got 3 animals in a photo.

Brilliant images Adrian, I guess its more work from the hide .

Thanks Sam, no its using the flash set up on a tripod near the area where they feed. I then sit back in the shadows of the house with my camera on a second tripod and fire the flash with a remote control. This gives a lot more light nearer the subject than is possible with flash on-camera.
It also keeps my smells that much farther away from the badgers so they act much more at ease.
